As Macao has been involved into the strategic blueprint of the “Belt and Road” of China as well as the “Urban Agglomeration Development Planning of Guangdong, Macao, HK”, it will be more important for it to be the hub of oriental and occidental cultures, and make efforts to promote the moderately diversified development by taking tourism as the axis towards the aim of setting up “Global Tourism and Entertainment Center” and “Platform of Commerce, Trade and Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries” as well as building a multi-culture co-existence, exchange and cooperation base by taking Chinese culture as the mainstream. More than providing important reference and direction for global tourism and related industrial development, the forum has demonstrated the Macao’s strength of holding large-scale international events to the world, the growing status and influence of being an international tourism city and regional tourism destination, as well as the foundation of enhancing the mutual benefits with surrounding regions and even the rest of the world.
