Indian media showed great interest in the rapid development of China and they would like to know how India can learn from China. While European media care more about China’s economic development and tourist development. Quite a few journalists showed great attention to China’s delegation attending the summit since there were too many questions raised by the reporters; the press conference had to be extended to another 1 hour from 30 minutes.

Since PATA annual meeting was held in Macao, a SAR of China, the meeting represented a lot of China’s characteristics. According to the schedule, two half-day’ discussion sessions were contributed to issues concerning China, with the respective subjects as “The Window on China” and “Rising of China Tourist Industry and China’s Tourists Market”. Many questions concerning China’s tourist market were raised by the representatives and Miss Wang Ping, Mr. Wang Minde and a chief executive from China National Tourism answered the questions. Compared with other discussion sessions held during the meeting, this one concerning China attracted most participants and was the most heated one. Some participants complained that China has failed to resolve its toilet issue and asked “Has China been prepared to embrace foreign guests?” Miss Wang Ping told them that China, as a developing country, has made tremendous efforts to improve its tourist infrastructure and has raped great progress. In future, our effort in this field will continue. After that, she said to the participants:” China will become the largest tourist source country by 2020, and by then, about 100 million Chinese will visit abroad every year. Are you prepared for that
