“Certified Shop” Campaign official commencement sparks scrambling coverage from media worldwide and strong public response

  “Customers who have bought flawed goods from certified shops are still entitled to filing complaints with Chamber of Tourism All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and obtaining corresponding compensation, refund and other after-sale services when they return to Mainland China.” The news once broke has attracted coverage from over 60 mainstream newspaper, portals, televisions and broadcast stations. It has since then become a hot topic of tourism insiders. With it comes the strong response from the public.

  Certified Shop Campaign Press Conference was held in Beijing and Macao on December 17 and 19 respectively. Certified Shop Work Office of the Chamber has since then received complaints and service calls from consumers of Hong Kong, Chongqing, Guangzhou and Beijing as well as requests for telephone interviews from journalists. A consumer from Guangzhou called to express his wish of seeing this campaign rolled out in Hong Kong as early as possible. A Beijing tourist hopes to see the campaign promoted in Thailand. For that period of time, there seems to be no end to the coming calls for consultation, suggestions and interviews. The Chamber is also trying to live up to the expectation from all spheres by improving work procedure to smoothly carry out the campaign which contributes to the order of tourism market and consumers’ interest.
